Abstract

The world of human society is highly inundated by the ocean of information, which directly or indirectly affects life and communication in all affairs. People, intentionally or unintentionally, process and utilize information and knowhow by using different online and onsite sources. But, the extent to which users; more specifically, those in the realm of education know, learn from and use technology for the right purpose in an ethical manner (with due concern of privacy, equity and morality) does not seem to be well-researched since cultural diversity, level of education as well as access and level of technology adaptation are diverse among different catchments. The purpose of the current article was to revisit existing research and literature about the appropriate use of technology for diverse life demands and needs, and the developmental effects of such a use on youth behavior and productivity through education. For the materialization of the purpose, systematic desk-review was made on research and scholarly literature from 2020 to 2025 on issues of Technology-Use in education. Pertinent sources were identified through criterion sampling; the points of focus being planned use, ethical considerations and focused productivity. The overall aim was to depict the productive and ethical utilization of technological resources for the positive, ethically sound and productive use of technology in and through education.
